Terms of Use
Here are a few policies to keep in mind as you use this app. They’re here to protect both you and me.

By using this app, you agree to these terms of use and any future updates. These terms apply in addition to any applicable app store terms and are complemented by the privacy policy. You can always view the most current version in the app’s menu or on this website.
Legal Responsibility
This app is designed to help you create and manage invoices. While I do my best to ensure the app supports compliance with relevant tax regulations — particularly in Germany — I cannot guarantee that every invoice created using the app meets all legal requirements. That’s because I don’t control the data you input or how you use the app.
Once you export your invoices, it’s your responsibility to carefully review the documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws. I cannot be held liable for any issues that arise from misuse, non-compliance, or errors in the data provided by users, including errors that may occur after exporting or using the generated documents.
While I strive to comply with all applicable laws and provide tools to help you do the same, the final responsibility for legal and tax compliance rests with you. If you’re unsure about your obligations, it’s best to consult a qualified tax advisor.
App Store
If you purchase the app through Apple’s App Store, the Apple’s EULA also applies — apart from the points listed on this page where they are described more precise or more specific.
License
I grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Billy for your own business purposes. You may not sell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the app. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code. Cracked or modified versions are not permitted and void this license.
Licenses are provided per user:
- Purchased on this website: You may install the app on up to two of your compatible devices.
- Purchased on the App Store: You may install the app on all devices linked to your Apple ID.
Bugs & Reliability
I work hard to make stable, reliable software — but no software is perfect. Use it at your own risk. I’m not liable for damages caused by bugs, outages, or data loss — especially if they come from incorrect input or misuse of the app.
Of course, if something serious happens due to intent, gross negligence, or affects your health or safety, I’m fully responsible as required by law.
Please double-check your documents before sending them to clients or tax authorities, and keep copies by exporting them as PDFs or e-invoices. If you’re unsure about anything, it’s best to ask a tax professional.
If you happen to find a bug please consider reporting it via this GitHub repository or via email (support@usebilly.app).
Refunds & Withdrawal
If you’re having issues with the app, please reach out — I do my very best to help. If you bought the app via the App Store, refunds and EU withdrawal rights are handled by Apple and can be requested via reportaproblem.apple.com, in line with Apple’s policies.
Support
I personally read every support message. Since I’m just one person, I may not always respond, but I aim to reply within 10 business days. I appreciate your patience.
Intellectual Property
All code, graphics, branding, icons and other materials in the app or on the website are the intellectual property of Simon Lou Schüler. Please don’t copy or redistribute, or modify anything without permission.
Legal Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
